The Basenji, often referred to as the "barkless dog," is a unique and ancient breed known for its quiet nature, agility, and distinctive appearance. Originating from central Africa, particularly the Congo region, Basenjis were bred as hunting dogs, adept at tracking and pointing game in dense forests. Their history dates back thousands of years, and they are often depicted in ancient Egyptian artifacts.
